Deborah Moss

Secretary

Deborah Moss was born and raised in Wichita Kansas. She graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 2017. She continued her education by completing her bachelors in social work. She graduated from Newman University with her degree in 2021. She is an author of the book “Don’t Allow Your Past to Hold Your Future Hostage”. This book dives into her background of trauma and dealing with mental health. Deborah is also the former Miss Black Kansas US Ambassador 2018, where her platform was "Mental Health And The Importance of Addressing Mental Health In The African American Community." Deborah understands that we as people are going to experience trauma and severe life issues, but her goal is to help everyone she can be mental health conscious and emotionally intelligent. She believes education is the first step in doing better. "When you know better, you do better."
